YAY Picture Book Time!

This semester has been hectic! 80% of my time, I've been either at school or doing schoolwork while everyone else is having fun and enjoying their last bits of senior year. UNBELIEVABLE! I'm not a big complainer, but due to my lack of sleep, I haven't been able to focus on reading during class. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a procrastinator…however as my eyes try to read the words coming out of the book, everything soon comes out of the other half of my brain. My eyes simply begin to blink while my head tilts to the right, and I've tried to slap myself a couple of times, but I just can't manage to not fall asleep. I low-key miss Elementary School; back then, I could just look at picture books and be done! This is why I have concluded that I just want something else to read for the last bits of the semester! It needs to be something that doesn't require me to commit 100% of my time, so I have chosen the best thing ever: A PICTURE BOOK!

While looking at the reading list, all the descriptions on Google seemed very long, and the book looked think! NOPE! However, as soon as I read "picture book" under "Someday," I thought it was a sign! An opportunity! YES! Love picture books! And best of all, it won't take me 5 hours to finish it! I bet it will take me 5 minutes. Picture books are children's books, meaning their messages are pretty straightforward, so hopefully, this is the case when I get asked to write an essay about the book. I looked "Someday" up on Google, and it's about the love a mother has for her child. Hmmm, well, this might as well prepare me for my motherhood days 10 years from now. This book seems impressive; it has excellent drawings and short captions, which means that it must be very open to self-interpretation, and this is good because there will not be a right or wrong answer. Yay! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait to read this book!
